Leading business and specialist application service provider (ASP), Candor Technologies, has announced that over 50% of revenues for its print and publishing platform - BizCardPrint.com - have come from its international partners.
Originally developed to eliminate the pains and wastage associated with conventionally ordering and printing business cards, BizCardPrint.com now facilitates most printable materials including letterheads, brochures, compliment slips, datasheets, etc.
Companies and individuals are empowered to typeset (change the details of individual, agent or branch), proof and order their stationery requirements online with delivery in 48-hours.
Launching the application internationally just six months ago, Candor states that there are various reasons for the spike in offshore takings. Candor attributes the main reason for growth to the innovative and intuitive nature of the technology.
Candor`s Managing Director, Wido Schnabel, says: "It seems as if European enterprises appreciate the ease and convenience of using our platform more than anything else. Our partners in Munich print and deliver business cards within six hours after receiving an order. Even though our prices for printed materials are highly competitive, it seems that the time-savings and benefits of the application are the fundamental deal clinchers."
Candor claims that companies using the platform are saving over 40% in printing costs and experience over 600% increase in turnaround times. The enterprise level software streamlines the procurement and fulfilment of printable materials.
Candor acknowledges the decline of the rand as a major contributor to increased international revenues. The company uses the `pay-for-services` model where income is derived from click fees which are euro-based.
Candor`s International Development Officer, Jason Frichol, says: "The decline of the rand has been a factor, however, one must realise that the bulk of our infrastructure costs are dollar-based. It`s a reciprocal situation. Having a favourable rate of exchange is not our core selling proposition. Our application is world-class and with the imminent release of our third version next quarter, Candor`s 100% locally developed technology offering is set for amplified international market syndication."
Candor Technologies (Pty) Ltd was registered in 1995 and initially opened its doors as one of the first Internet service providers (ISP) in Africa. Since early 1997, Candor Technologies recognised a new emerging trend: application service provision (ASP).
Poised as a business and specialist ASP development house, Candor has two specialised divisions. The Business ASP Division offers document management, service and tracking management, CRM, contact management, order book, contracting, e-mail management, marketing communication and outsourced on-demand printing bureau applications. The Specialist ASP division deploys custom developed applications as per a client`s specific requirements.
