Canon's latest mono and colour SFPs designed to meet a wide range of business needs

Johannesburg, 15 Dec 2015

Canon Europe, world leader in imaging solutions, today launched four new mono and one new colour A4 single function printers (SFPs). The new i-SENSYS LBP250 series, imageRUNNER 1435P and imageRUNNER ADVANCE C350P are designed to address the document and flexible working challenges of small and medium enterprises and workgroups.

The new LBP250 Series is packed with features to improve processes and productivity in a range of office environments and replaces the LBP6310dn and LBP6600 series. The rapid mono laser printers combine speed and robustness in a small desktop footprint, reliably producing black and white prints to fit a wide variety of office environments. With support for AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, WiFi connectivity and a free app for iOS and Android (Canon PRINT Business), the new i-SENSYS LBP250 series is designed to optimise the mobile working capabilities of any office. For an enhanced user experience the LBP253x features a colour touch screen and supports NFC technology for Touch and Print operation from compatible mobile devices.

The LBP252dw and LBP253x incorporate secure printing, iPSec and Department ID as standard, reducing the risk of print-related security breaches and enabling control of output. Ready for Canon's uniFLOW output management software, the LBP253x offers an elevated layer of control for businesses, enabling secure printing release for peace of mind and centralised access control to recover, allocate and monitor print costs.

The imageRUNNER 1435P has the same management capabilities as the LBP253x but is designed for larger workgroups and enterprises with higher print volumes offering robust mono printing for businesses that require cost conscious, productive and reliable output. Native support for industry standards such as PCL and Adobe PostScript 3 allows the device to be integrated into customer IT environments. Its compact design fits perfectly into various environments as a desktop or floor standing device.

The new imageRUNNER ADVANCE C350P offers high quality A4 printing with V^2 Colour technology for impactful images. It is completely consistent with the award-winning imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform and even utilises the same easy-to-use 7" colour touch screen to give an enhanced user experience. The powerful MEAP technology ensures seamless integration into IT and mobile environments to simplify printer management and mobile working for flexible employees.

Rayner Botha, product manager for office and laser products at Canon SA, comments: "Print management is a costly exercise for most businesses, including administration and handling - over time it can dwarf the cost of the device and consumables. Canon has designed the new range to provide seamless and consistent management efficiency, along with improved integration capabilities. We understand that ease of use is of paramount importance for SMEs and not only do the new printers work out of the box, the new devices are additionally optimised to make light work of printer management, widen access to mobile printing and ensure a hassle-free experience."

Botha continues: "The addition of these new devices to our portfolio allows Canon to offer an even wider range of flexible solutions to customers for productivity, efficiency and on-the-go working.

All new devices come with e-Maintenance to reduce administrative burdens on businesses and enable control of all networked devices.
