Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina is to advise the new governor-elect of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, report Dallas News and The Register. She is one of four Silicon Valley appointees to the bi-partisan transition team, which includes the mayor of San Francisco, Willie Brown.
'I don`t do Windows` turns to 'iTunes for Windows`
In April, Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced his company would, before the end of the year, introduce a Windows version of its iTunes software. Now, at long last, reports MacCentral, it appears the wait will soon end. The site has been invited to an event scheduled for 16 October, "presumably for the roll-out of...iTunes for Windows".
'Stalker` of kids groomed on Net
A 64-year-old man who "groomed" young girls on the Internet has been sentenced to five years in prison for stalking, attempting to abduct one child and possessing indecent photos of children, reports AP.
Douglas Lindsell, who admitted to the charges, was found to possess handwritten sexual profiles of 54 youngsters in the UK and 19 from abroad.
