CA`s AllFusion Harvest Change Manager awarded ITIL certification

Johannesburg, 19 May 2003

Computer Associates International, Inc (CA) today announced that its acclaimed AllFusion Harvest Change Manager (AllFusion Harvest CM) solution has been verified as compatible with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) process framework, a set of best practices standards for information technology service management.

Certification was conferred by Pink Elephant Inc, a leading global resource for ITIL best practices consulting and training, in accordance with its PinkVerify program.

The PinkVerify recognition confirms that AllFusion Harvest CM complies with ITIL processes for delivering services for application development. By conforming to these processes, CA can assure customers and prospects around the world that its AllFusion Harvest CM solutions are committed to delivering world-class best practices in IT support and service.

Ipex, one of Australia`s largest IT outsourcing companies, has been leveraging CA`s ITIL-compliant technology solutions to support best-practice management of thousands of desktop systems within the Asia Pacific region.

"CA`s management technologies have been strategically important to Ipex as we work to optimise our clients` returns on their PC investments," said Stuart Edwards, Manager of Ipex`s Enterprise Service Center. "By complying with ITIL standards, CA further ensures our ability to provide world-class IT delivery and support services."

AllFusion Harvest CM provides control over all stages of the software development lifecycle to improve the quality, reliability and auditability of traditional and web-based applications while improving developer productivity. It is the recipient of the 2002 LinuxWorld Open Source Product Excellence Award for Best Development Tool and the Java Development Journal "Best Code Protection Tool" award for 2001.

"This certification again confirms Computer Associates` ongoing commitment to supporting current IT best practices," said David Ratcliffe, president of Pink Elephant Inc. "These best practices have become even more critical to IT organisations as they are forced to cope with a combination of increasing business demands and tighter resource constraints."

"AllFusion Harvest Change Manager`s support for ITIL best practices empowers our customers to optimise their development activities and thereby maximise their overall technology investments," said Gregory Clancy, CA`s AllFusion brand manager.
