CBC to air queen in 3D
Britain's Queen Elizabeth is to jump out in front of Canadian TV viewers next month as the subject of a 3D documentary, reports THR int'l.
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) shot 3D footage of Queen Elizabeth's recent Canadian tour and will air the documentary "Queen Elizabeth in 3D" on 20 September.
Canadians will be able to secure up to 2 million 3D glasses being made available by the CBC on a first-come, first serve basis.
Games CEO refutes claims
Mike Hooper, CEO of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), has spoken out against the comptroller and auditor general's interim report which was brought to his notice, reports Hindustan Times.
The report states that the appointment of Fast Track sales as consultant for the broadcasting rights for the games was made solely on the recommendation of the CGF and Suresh Kalmadi, the chairman of the Delhi Organising Committee.
Hooper said, "Although the CGF supported the appointment of Fast Track, it strongly refutes any claims that it interfered in the selection process”.
Inlet lands Oz broadcasting deal
Raleigh-based Inlet Technologies is helping the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) stream live news over the Internet 24 hours a day, seven days a week the Triangle Business Journal writes.
The ABC News 24 service is using Inlet's Spinnaker line of devices that compress video for transmission over the Internet and wirelessly to mobile devices.
Inlet teamed with regional reseller, Magna Systems and Engineering, to land the deal with ABC.
