Outsourced contact centre provider CCN Holdings has bought back R4.16 million of its shares in a voluntary offer to minority shareholders.

Shareholders owning about 4.9 million CCN shares accepted the company`s offer to buy their shares at 85c each.

Once these shares have been cancelled, the group will have about 46.59 million shares in issue.

The voluntary offer was sparked last year after CCN bought back shares from two shareholders for 85c each, with the total purchase price amounting to R15.49 million.

The board said in October that it had decided, in the interests of equity and fairness, to make a similar offer to minority shareholders to acquire all or part of their shareholding at 85c a share.

The CCN share was untraded at 85c this morning.
