Cell C has launched a data deal that sees the per MB price dropping below 3c, with a 100GB SIM-only data promotion that gives prepaid Internet users an alternative to monthly contract Internet access.
The new promotion, which will be available for the next three months, costs R2 499 and makes 100GB of data immediately available following the processing of RICA documents and activation of the SIM. Unused data, says Cell C, will only expire 365 days after the SIM has been activated.
Cell C's latest data promotion is available in Cell C franchise stores and through service providers as of next Thursday, and the offer can be purchased until 28 February.
If the 100GB is used up, customers can purchase an additional bundle - but data is then charged at 15c per MB. Cell C says national roaming does not apply, so the offer will only work if customers have access to Cell C's 3G network.
"Cell C customers have been asking for a competitively priced prepaid product with larger data denominations. We are pleased to be able to offer our customers what they have been looking for," says Cell C CEO Alan Knott-Craig.
