Cell C has added another 12 calling destinations to its 99c international call zone - taking the total number of overseas regions subscribers can call at the operator's flat rate to 50.
As of today, Cell C subscribers can make calls to - among others - Brazil, Indonesia, Spain and Finland at 99c per minute, on per second billing, and in or out of peak times.
Cell C CEO Alan Knott-Craig says the operator's now trademark 99c per minute on per second billing call rate is SA's best international rate for non-voice over IP calls.
“Cell C offers a flat rate for all calls - whether it is to a local fixed-line or mobile number in the respective country - and regardless of the tariff plan customers are on. We do not differentiate between contract customers and prepaid customers,” says Knott-Craig.
He says the 99c international call rate is on average 77% lower than the rates of other mobile operators in SA to the 50 countries.
