With the 11th annual conference and exhibition on telecommunications in Africa conference, Tel.Com, taking place between the 23 and 25 October, many organisations, delegates and industry experts will be watching with keen interest for the outcomes that are expected in terms of local views about the telecommunication liberalisation prospects.
The conference will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg and is an important platform for representative bodies, industry experts and government to present their new and innovative solutions, changes and policies to the market. Thompson believes that the conference comes at a vital time for SA as the regulatory environment stabilises. The third cellular operator will bring increased competition to the market and preparations are underway for the IPO.
