Charge Anywhere enables capture
Charge Anywhere, a provider of secure point-of-sales solutions and electronic payment services, has released its signature capture capability with its suite of mobile payment solutions, says More RFID.
Charge Anywhere's signature capture works on a variety of compatible devices, including VeriFone's NURIT 8000, Intermec CN3, and compatible Windows Mobile Pocket PCs such as the Palm TreoTM and HTC MogulTM.
Once a transaction is completed and a signature is placed on the screen of the device, the signature is transmitted wirelessly and stored securely on ComsGate, the Charge Anywhere PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment gateway.
Ebids provides revenue for small
The Electronic Payments Association has revealed that Dollar Bank customers can now receive e-bills and make corresponding bill payments on the bank's Web site using Ebids (Electronic Billing Information Delivery Service), reports Market Watch.
Ebids is an automated clearing house (ACH) network solution which increases the availability of electronic bills to consumers.
Jeff Morrow, executive vice president of Dollar Bank, says: "We believe Ebids can open up new markets for regional and community banks, leveraging the ACH network and lifting adoption rates for electronic bill presentment and payment across the board."
Visa partners with Nokia
Visa, the world's largest retail electronic payments network, and Nokia, the world's largest mobile device manufacturer, plans to deliver Visa payment and payment-related services - including contactless payments, remote payments, money transfer, alerts and notifications - for Nokia's next generation handsets beginning with the Nokia 6212 classic, which will be available in October 2008, says PR-USA.
The Visa applications, which will first be made available for trial, will allow consumers with the Nokia 6212 classic and a relationship with a participating Visa issuing bank to use their Visa account to pay for goods and services; initiate mobile money transfers to other individuals with Visa accounts; receive near real-time notifications of activity on their Visa account; and "opt in" to receive offers and discounts from merchants.
"Mobile payments and services are one of the most vibrant areas of innovation at Visa, as we seek to accelerate the migration from paper forms of payment to digital money" said Tim Attinger, head of global product innovation at Visa.
