Check 2000 integrates with GoldMine`s HEAT 5.01

Johannesburg, 06 Oct 1999

GoldMine Software, part of JSE-listed Ixchange, has announced the integration of Greenwich Mean Time`s Check 2000 Client Server with HEAT 5.01, its help desk and call centre solution.

Says Johan Botha, GM of Ixchange`s GoldMine division: "Year 2000 is a universal concern of the utmost importance. Our customers have asked for a solution that works with HEAT to make sure their systems don`t fail. Check 2000 has provided that easily deployable solution right out of the box."

Check 2000 is fully enabled so that it can be rolled out across a network to automatically locate and diagnose Y2K issues. The software helps IT managers assess their systems year 2000 by proactively checking all five layers of a PC; hardware (BIOS), operating systems, software programs, user data and data sharing.

"OEM agreements allow us to extend our market to a wider audience of PC users, some of whom would otherwise not do anything to resolve their year 2000 problems," said Karl W. Feilder, president and CEO, Greenwich Mean Time. "Every single PC must be checked. Working with companies like GoldMine gives us the opportunity to educate more people about how easy it is to resolve year 2000 problems."
