CheckPoint gets SAS 70

According to PR Canada, CheckPoint HR has completed the Statement on Auditing Standards number 70 (SAS 70) Type II certification.

Through this certification process, CheckPoint HR's technology platform and processes adhere to strict industry-standards, verified by an independent auditor. This certification provides customers with assurance that their is managed and compliant within industry best practices.

"We are continuously focused on providing customers with the means to maintain by building in such processes within our technology platform. The SAS 70 Type II recertification is one of many validation standards that reinforce our operating and procedures," said Neil Friedman, CFO, CheckPoint HR.

N Carolina implements Beacon

North Carolina has implemented a new human resources and payroll applications system that employees can access anytime over the Internet, says Government Technology.

This deployment, called the Building Enterprise Access for North Carolina's Core Operation Needs (Beacon) system, replaces custom-built, decades-old legacy applications.

The system allows nearly 86 000 workers to view and print pay cheque details and change personal data, including home addresses, phone numbers and emergency contact information, online.

Ceridian releases Latitude

Ceridian, a provider of HR outsourcing solutions, has released HR/Payroll Latitude, its next-generation HR, payroll and benefits solution, states TMCnet.

A software as a service solution, Latitude meets the growing demand of North American companies for increased solution integration across the US and Canada.

The solution delivers frequent automatic upgrades while freeing companies from administrative burdens, IT infrastructure requirements and costs, and also compliance issues required to provide payroll and HR services to employees.
