Choice Technologies, an IT systems and integration company, announced today that it has been named as the official technology supplier supporting SA`s bid to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Under the terms of the agreement, Choice Technologies will be supplying technology, services and support in excess of R5 million during the bid campaign.
This announcement comes prior to the FIFA inspection, which starts on Thursday. During this evaluation phase SA`s stadiums, hotels, tourism and technology infrastructure will be assessed. Some of the key technology infrastructure under evaluation will be access control, information security, hardware and network infrastructure, maintenance and implementation.

Choice Technologies have the expertise that we need to illustrate to the FIFA Inspectors that SA has the technological capabilities to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup," said Danny Jordaan, chief executive officer of the South Africa 2010 Bid Company. Choice Technologies joins a select group of South African companies in support of the South Africa 2010 Bid Company, which includes Anglo American, Transnet, Vodacom, BMW South Africa and Telkom. > "We are proud to have been chosen as the official technology supplier for the 2010 bid," said Jabu Sibanda, managing director at Choice Technologies.
