CipherWave, the powerhouse behind CipherVault data centre, South Africa's first and only category-5 data vault, today announced a market offering of virtual servers, starting at R880 for companies now in the process of moving to the cloud or transitioning to a virtual environment.
“With the economy of scale benefit of having over 250 physical servers, our first milestone has been met. With around the clock support from our teams of certified engineers, network specialists and administrators that monitor our facility, we can now say we reached our optimal stage of supplying guaranteed uptime to the African market,” states Jonathan Mason, MD of CipherWave Storage Solutions.
“We are one of very few facilities like this who can offer true high availability and who have the entire backend infrastructure to give our clients the performance, high bandwidth availability and a fully scalable environment.” Where CipherWave and its claims are unique is that it has an ultra-modern fully functional NOC (Network Operating Centre) on premise that monitors events from core network performance, each server's real-time functionality and even the hacking or risk events that are happening in other corners of the world.

This is like going to a car dealership and buying half a car for half the price.” As one can guess, these offerings are no more than advertising strategies to sell a fraction of a machine or a tip of a cloud offering.

Each virtual machine is connected to the Internet by means of fibre optic connectivity and a 10 Megabyte breakout. The company guarantees this uptime with a 99.8% service agreement or your money back.
