Cisco integrates mobile services
Mobile workers today still face challenges in bouncing from wired to wireless to cellular workspaces, but Cisco believes it may have a solution, reports cnet.
The networking giant unveiled a new initiative, called Collaboration in Motion, designed to help workers on the go by integrating different services for the mobile market.
Collaboration in Motion will bring together a variety of products from Cisco's network portfolio.
T-Mobile tracks cell bills
As the global economic slowdown makes customers worried about their finances, T-Mobile is introducing a campaign to get wireless subscribers to thoroughly examine their bills, writes InformationWeek.
The campaign, dubbed 'Mobile Makeover', enables customers to visit BillShrink.com from T-Mobile's home page or retail locations to determine if they can save money on their monthly cellphone bills.
The site is an independent service that provides users with personalised saving recommendations for things like cellphone plans, gas, and credit cards.
MS unveils wireless mouse products
Microsoft has released three new BlueTrack technology products: the Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000, featuring Microsoft's first nano transceiver; the Wireless Mouse 5000; and the mouse and keyboard combo Wireless Desktop 3000, according to techtree.
Microsoft claims its BlueTrack technology, which was unveiled last fall, enables reliable mouse tracking even on difficult surfaces like the carpet.
Extending just 0.8cm from the USB port, the wireless Mobile Mouse 6000's nano transceiver can remain plugged into the computer or be stored right in the mouse.
