Citrix Access Suite 4.0 offers major advancements in secure, reliable access for enterprises of all sizes

Citrix Systems, the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, has announced the launch of Citrix Access Suite 4.0. An integrated business access solution, Access Suite 4.0 enables on-demand access to any information resource for any authorised user, using any device, over any network connection, while reducing operating expenses, improving information security and increasing business agility.

Access Suite 4.0 includes the flagship Citrix Presentation Server 4.0, Citrix Password Manager 4.0 and the new Citrix Access Gateway 4.0, a universal SSL VPN solution for both data and voice applications.

With this launch, the company also introduces Citrix SmartAccess technology, a sense-and-respond capability that delivers constantly optimised access for users while rigorously protecting the security of corporate information. SmartAccess instantly senses and dynamically responds to different work scenarios with tailored access and security controls. The Citrix Access Suite 4.0 is designed for enterprises of all sizes and is the foundation of the Citrix Access Platform.

Regulatory compliance requirements are also driving the business need for Access Suite 4.0 and its new SmartAccess and Citrix SmoothRoaming technologies. IT spending on compliance is expected to grow in 2005 by 43% to $2 billion in the US alone. Access Suite 4.0 allows businesses to define a compliance framework with standardised systems that enable IT administrators to implement security controls and monitor, audit and document access security. SmartAccess takes this policy framework one step further with an unprecedented level of granular access control over applications, files, Web content and e-mail attachments based on a user`s role in the organisation, work location, device and connectivity policies.
