Citrix Systems, Inc, a leader in virtual workplace software and services, today announced that Citrix MetaFrame XP application software has been certified for use with enterprise content management software from Documentum, the leading provider of enterprise content management. Both companies participated in the testing process, involving the certification of the Documentum 4i Desktop Client running on Citrix MetaFrame XPe.

* Improved network performance: The Citrix and Documentum alliance means users can access the Documentum Desktop Client over any network or communications protocol with enhanced performance and productivity - even over low-bandwidth connections. * Enhanced security: While Documentum provides multiple levels of security at the repository and content level, Citrix MetaFrame XP architecture enhances security over network connections, protecting customers` data and applications. * Browser independence: MetaFrame XP eliminates browser dependencies, allowing IT administrators to optimise, test, and deploy the Documentum Desktop Client to users across the enterprise without concern for an individual user`s browser settings, plug-in settings, Java Virtual Machine, or security settings, saving time and money.

Deployed through MetaFrame XP, the Documentum Desktop Client is accessible through a wide range of devices using the Citrix Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) client. Customers can also access the Documentum Desktop Client from any standard Web browser using Citrix NFuse Classic, a member of the company`s new access portal product family. NFuse Classic provides secure Web access to any Windows, UNIX or Java application running on MetaFrame instantly without any code rewrites.
