Clickatell`s white-label SMS client easy to resell

Clickatell, a leader in wireless data transfer and SMS services, has released Messenger-LITE, a desktop SMS product that is ideal for businesses and Web sites wanting to resell SMS to their clients.

Messenger-LITE is a white-label SMS client that can be branded (skinned) by resellers to look like their own product. It is ideally suited for businesses that want to resell SMS, as it can be rolled out and start to earn revenues almost immediately.

This easy-to-use, easy-to distribute product is in line with Clickatell`s philosophy of enablement, allowing clients full access to its product range with as little barrier to entry as possible. According to Clickatell`s marketing director, Danie du Toit, the product has already been adopted by many of Clickatell`s distribution partners: "The reason that we believe in the product is the ease of use with which it can be rolled out. Resellers can have it as a downloadable file from their site, and corporate clients can distribute it internally and externally, complete with their own branding."

To send a message with Messenger-LITE is also a simple task, Du Toit says. "We have focused on keeping Messenger-LITE as easy to operate as possible, but at the same time it is packed with high-end network features and linked directly with Clickatell`s carrier-grade platform."

Messenger-LITE works with Clickatell`s SMS voucher system, which allows for flexible integration with client billing systems. Corporate clients can also generate vouchers in seconds from primary accounts, and use them as a means of controlling message volumes. Central account management by administrators further allows for strict control and extensive reporting, empowering the business with a tool which is sure to save cost in the short- and long-term, as it can dramatically reduce communication cost to mobile phones locally and globally, being only a fraction of the cost of a voice call.

This simple-to-implement SMS client is in stark contrast with complex routing and server mechanisms that many businesses are used to implementing for SMS enablement.
