Cognos, an enterprise business intelligence and corporate performance management (CPM) vendor, has dismissed the results of a performance and throughput benchmark test on Cognos ReportNet funded by Business Objects, whereby Business Objects dictated the testing criteria and testing environment to ensure positive outcomes for its products. Cognos did not participate or provide its software for testing.
As part of an independent test at the IBM Solution Partner Centre lab in San Mateo, California, Cognos ReportNet demonstrated massive scalability in a concurrent user environment with mission critical response times for Web-based content navigation, report viewing and report execution to 190 000 named users.
Cognos ReportNet continually demonstrated excellent performance in real world scenarios ranging from 20 000 to 50 000 named users on a 16-CPU Windows box.
