Cognos, a business intelligence and corporate performance management (CPM) vendor, has announced the company has completed another round of intensive certifications to enhance its existing `Powered by SAP NetWeaver` designation for the SAP NetWeaver Release `04 platform.
Selected by global enterprises worldwide, Cognos ReportNet - integration-certified by SAP - delivers rapid and effective global-scale enterprise reporting with the SAP NetWeaver open integration and application platform.
Cognos ReportNet was one of the first enterprise applications to achieve "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" certification. Further enhancing its commitment to SAP solutions and its partnership with SAP, Cognos successfully upgraded its SAP integration certification to deploy the Cognos Dispatcher Service 1.1 component of Cognos ReportNet on the latest version of the SAP Web Application Server Release 6.40.
Last fall, Cognos successfully upgraded its SAP certification of Cognos ReportNet iViews to include integration to SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0. Cognos also has existing SAP certified integration, including `Certified for SAP NetWeaver` for OLAP BAPI. Cognos ReportNet is powered by the SAP NetWeaver platform, the open integration and application platform that provides an efficient way to integrate all systems running SAP or non-SAP software. SAP NetWeaver unifies integration technologies into a single platform and is pre-integrated with business applications, enabling change and reducing the need for custom integration. The platform is based on industry standards and supports all major technologies such as Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Microsoft .NET, and IBM WebSphere.
