The South African leg of the Colour 4 Success seminar is just around the corner and all printer users are invited to attend the event at the Caesars Gauteng Convention Centre on Thursday and Friday, 10 and 11 October.

[VIDEO]Kevin Hearnshaw, colour product manager at Xerox South Africa, explains: "Colour 4 Success will focus on promoting colour as a work solution, highlighting the benefits and applications of colour printing, and demonstrating the versatility of the Xerox DocuColor series. Users from especially the graphic art community, finance, insurance, and utilities, government and are invited to attend."

The event will feature specialised demonstrations of how colour can be applied in the industrial, financial and educational sectors. Xerox will also launch the DocuColor 2240/1632, the new colour multifunction systems.

Colour is playing a more significant role in business today. "Colour documents grab a reader`s attention and elevate average work above the norm. Many people still believe that colour documents are expensive and add to operational expenses while slowing down the business, as they take time to produce. The good news is that modern technology is changing the office environment and companies need to realise the cost-effectiveness and value of colour in the office," comments Hearnshaw.

Research conducted by Xerox shows that with added colour, invoices are paid 30% faster, decision-making is speeded up by 70%, and 50% more sales contracts are . Yet, colour is still perceived to be expensive for some companies. What many fail to realise is that colour documents will give them the competitive-edge in business.

[VIDEO]Mehmet Sezer, marketing director for Xerox South Africa, says office colour printing has become more affordable, more accessible and more productive. "Since the introduction of the first desktop colour laser printers in 1994, the cost of colour printing has dropped by 75%. As an added bonus, the speed of printing has quadrupled," he adds.

This means that users don`t have to wait a lifetime to print a colour document and don`t have to pay a fortune to do so. The demand for colour has driven down prices. Everyone wants to see hard copy documents in colour and with many companies vying for their place in the sun, they will need to stay ahead by giving more colour to their ideas.
