CommerceQuest announces Data Integrator version 7

At the IBM 2002 Transaction & Messaging Technical Conference, CommerceQuest, an award-winning enterprise integration solutions provider, announced the next generation of its popular product Data Integrator.

Data Integrator is a powerful bulk data movement and integration solution that exploits WebSphere MQ in situations where performance, reliability, and end-to-end tracking are essential. enableNet Data Integrator version 7 will build on its proven track record through tight integration with CommerceQuest's entire integration offering, a Web-based interface, and the addition of a powerful scripting language.

CommerceQuest will provide an upgrade path for existing Data Integrator Clients complete with a methodology and toolset to ensure a smooth transition. Version 7 of enableNet Data Integrator is targeted for availability by the end of the second quarter 2002.

EnableNet Data Integrator version 7 aligns with the company's newly announced enableNet Enterprise Architecture and will include the following features and functions:

O       The data transfer will now exploit WebSphere MQ clusters.

O       XML-based command interfaces.

O       A Web-based graphical command, status and audit interface.

O       Powerful file-to-message and message-to-file components to facilitate rapid integration with WebSphere MQ Integrator and other MQ-enabled applications.

O       Component-based user exit architecture that provides even more flexibility in implementing associated business processes.

O       Multi-platform scripting support that delivers extensive customisation of logic and control.

In addition, enableNet Data Integrator version 7 will offer extensions to all other enableNet Enterprise Platform (EEP) features including:

O       Database Integration feature to access all major databases.

O       Application Integration tools and adapters to access backend application systems.

O       Business Process Integration to construct and interface with business processes within and between enterprises.

O       Business Activity Monitoring to reflect all the activities and steps of business processes including the data movement activities.

Introduced in 1997, Data Integrator provides assured delivery of mission-critical information for large enterprises like American Electric Power, American Express, EDS, Ericsson, Fireman's Fund, General Motors, The Home Depot, National Grid, Pharmacia, State Street Bank, the US Department of Defense, and the US Department of Education. It enables enterprises to bridge their transactional applications with legacy batch systems on all major operating environments including Wintel, Unix, OS/400, OS/390 and industry specific operating systems.
