CommerceQuest integration solutions chosen to power data exchange within the securities industry

Johannesburg, 02 Oct 2000

CommerceQuest Inc. has announced that the Industry Corporation (SIAC) has installed CommerceQuest`s industry-leading enableNet Integrator in its Shared Data Center to facilitate data and message transfer and integration.

The Shared Data Center, which has network connections to the entire U.S. securities industry, serves as the industrys central processing center and is used by Sector Inc., a SIAC company, to provide outsourcing services to its clients in the financial services industry.

SIACs selection of the enableNet Data Integrator puts CommerceQuests premier enterprise application integration (EAI) software to work handling the high-volume bulk data movement within the countrys foremost financial trading communities, said Colin Osborne, chairman, CommerceQuest. Steve Romano, vice president of Shared Data Center services for SIAC and Sector Inc., said that CommerceQuest was chosen because of the power and flexibility its integration solutions offer.

According to Romano, To meet the demands of extended trading hours and other industry initiatives, we needed a tool that allows our customers to send their data at any time, and in various formats, without immediate revision of their existing applications. The enableNet Data Integrator stood out as a front runner because of its extensive data transfer and translation capabilities, Romano added. This allows SIAC and Sector to be compatible with customers regardless of their application, hardware or network operating environment, while adding value to the transition process by reducing the batch cycle time.

CommerceQuests solutions are designed to address and overcome the complexities of information exchange, and enable our business partners to maximize performance within their operation, said CommerceQuest Chairman Colin Osborne. Were very pleased to be able to showcase the enableNet Data Integrator and its capabilities among the financial community. This deal launches CommerceQuest, in alignment with our corporate mission, into previously untapped markets and exposes us to new audiences.
