CommVault offers online courses
Software company CommVault has revealed a Web-based training programme intended for personnel responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of Simpana, its data and information management software, says IP Communications.
The online training will provide end-users with an option to learn at their own pace while eliminating time out of the office and unnecessary travel, which reduces costs and cuts energy use and resulting harmful emissions.
Users can register for the courses through the CommVault Web site.
Lectora gets an upgrade
BdM Development, a learning technologies specialist and regional partner to Trivantis, the creators of the Lectora authoring tool, is to release Lectora Version 9, says Training Press Releases.
Major new enhancements include a new Flash and games library and the ability to publish to iPhone and iPod Touch so mobile workers can learn on the go.
Other notable enhancements improve the appearance and performance of video incorporated into training courses developed in Lectora.
24x7 with iLinc
24x7 Learning, an Indian talent life cycle management company, has partnered with iLinc, a provider of Web conferencing software and online collaboration solutions, according to India PR Wire.
This will enable 24x7 Learning to integrate iLinc's solutions into its enterprise talent enhancement programmes.
Speaking on the partnership, Anil Chhikara, president of 24x7 Learning, said: “iLinc's online collaboration and virtual training technology will be implemented as part of our Corporate Virtual University solution, to facilitate learning across geographically spread corporations. We will also optimally leverage iLinc in Avagmah - our continuing education initiative to reach out to students across geographies.”
