Companies want PM software
Over a thousand respondents took part in a Capterra survey administered by MarketTools, which indicates project management leads the list of software that businesses are looking to buy, according to PRWeb.
Of those surveyed, nearly a third said they are considering buying project management software in the next year.
Also big on the list is customer relationship management software, with 22% of those surveyed considering a purchase.
Orbit offers Prolog support
Orbit Middle East, a Meridian Systems authorised value-added reseller since 2000, is offering Tier 1 Support for Prolog software and the updated version of Prolog 2008, a new release featuring several product enhancements, states AME Info.
Prolog, from Meridian Systems, is a provider of construction project management software, and is being used on many projects in the GCC countries, as well as other Middle Eastern countries such as Egypt.
Prolog 2008 was released with a refreshed user interface to enable easier navigation for user productivity.
Newforma expands programme
Newforma, a software company addressing the project information management needs of the design and building industry, has expanded the Newforma Authorised Partner programme in response to increased market demand in North America, reports Sky News.
The programme has been expanded to include value-added resellers, selected technology companies certified by Newforma, to resell, deploy and configure the Newforma solution, and to train architects and engineers in its use.
Two AEC technology consulting firms, Central Consulting Group of Minneapolis, announced in May, and Control Group of New York, announced this week, are the first in the US to participate in all aspects of the programme.
