Comparex Africa has appointed three new executives following its merger with Business Connexion.
The merger, announced last November, has been billed as the creation of the country`s largest black-empowered information and communications technology company, with revenue of more than R3 billion.
Business Connexion CEO Benjamin Mophatlane, sales director Isaac Mophatlane and head of strategic positioning Bridgman Sithole will serve on the Comparex Africa board and executive committee.
At the time of the merger, Mophatlane was named deputy CEO of Comparex Africa.
The deal will ultimately see Business Connexion Investments, the current holding company of Business Connexion, own a 25.01% stake in the merged business, with Comparex Africa Group holding the balance.
Comparex CEO Peter Watt has said that once the merger is completed, Comparex Africa will look at changing its name and branding.
Business Connexion creates and delivers IT solutions based on Microsoft technology and Watt says its leadership in that area is complementary to Comparex Africa`s expertise in outsourcing, professional services, technology infrastructure and business applications.
