Human performance technology solution provider Competence Connect has been appointed sole South African value-adding reseller (VAR) for the Swedish company Prodacapo, provider of enterprise performance management (EPM) software.
Prodacapo is rapidly establishing itself as a global leader in providing EPM solutions and currently supports customers in 58 countries. The company uniquely integrates proven management techniques such as Activity-Based Management, Balanced Scorecard, Process Costing and Business Planning into one software solution to provide real business benefits to its customers.

"Focus is transferred from the cost of resources to the cost of what is actually being done, the activity cost and the cost per output. Additionally, the module makes it possible to benchmark the productivity between different units and to analyse the amount of resource consumed performing non-customer value-adding activities."
The Activity Accounting feature of Prodacapo makes integrated activity accounting a fundamental part of the organisation`s regular reporting and management process, thereby helping to improve profitability.
"Activity Accounting allows you to use ABC-standard costing, to charge the cost objects with a standard activity cost, and credit the cost centres, based on the actual cost driver occurrences," says Oosthuizen.
