Components to die for

With the evolution of the IT industry has come the introduction of PC components that aren`t only exceptionally functional but also very stylish and downright futuristic looking.

However, despite its revamped good looks, most of these components are crucial to the survival of the PC industry and empowers players to offer important and leading functionality.

CPUs for one are here to stay; without its continuous evolution the industry will undoubtedly cease to exist. With Dual-Core advancements as well as Hyper-Treading Technology brought to us by companies such Intel and AMD, CPUs are the way of the future; offering faster transfer speeds, improved computing and ultimately more value for money.

Hard drives are also another crucial element of the PC components industry, and again advancements that include improved storage and backup, mobile hard drives as well as external and flash offer opportunities and benefits that are indeed endless.

This part of the industry is also driven by variety which leads to a healthy marketplace for all consumers - again accentuating that need for improved products and subsequently value for money.

Another important component, which doesn`t necessarily enjoy as much attention as its above peers, is PC casings or chassis. Gone are the days of dreary, generic beige casings; users can now choose from a variety of options such as Thermaltake`s Shark casing that actually looks like a shark.

And these casings are packed with a whole lot of customised features that benefit all users, not only high-end gamers.

Most of these cases come with aluminium bases that are good for temperature and control, while the side panels are see-through - giving your PC that futuristic, state-of-the-art look.

This PC components industry, if anything, never fails to amaze us - we can all look forward to the next 10 years.
