The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) has announced its new gold partners for 2005 in the IT training and course material provision sectors of the ICT industry.
"We believe the gold partner system will go a long way in raising quality standards in the industry and ensuring that training, certifications and course material within the local IT industry are legitimate and compare favourably with international standards," says Sharon Oosterberg, key account manager for CompTIA South Africa.
Lists of CompTIA`s gold education providers and material providers are available on the organisation`s Web site.
A CompTIA committee evaluates and approves material from third-party publishers to ensure all aspects of its international exam are covered in the material presented.
"Training providers now have an excellent gauge of the quality of a material provider`s courseware through the CompTIA gold partner programme," says Ronald Woolf, chairman of CompTIA`s Material Providers` forum.
