Computer Associates, DataTreasury announce alliance for global biometric authentication

Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) and DataTreasury Corporation have announced an alliance designed to give solution providers the means to quickly build flexible, easily managed biometric eBusiness transaction security systems.

The two companies have teamed up to integrate DataTreasury`s Biometric Authentication repository technology with CA`s eTrust security solutions to establish a new standard for privacy and security, enabling trusted eCommerce transaction systems to quickly become secured.

CA and DataTreasury Corporation will also provide security solutions that help healthcare organizations comply with new security and privacy regulations under the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

DataTreasury`s authentication process is specifically developed to help foster the growth of eCommerce and eliminate the need for passwords. eTrust, which can be implemented as individual solutions or as an integrated suite, delivers proven functionality to secure resources from the browser to the mainframe.
