Computer Associates Unicenter TNG selected to manage and support NetWorld+Interop 2000 Tokyo

Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA), the worlds leading eBusiness solutions provider, has announced that Unicenter TNG has been selected to proactively monitor, manage and support ShowNet Infrastructure at NetWorld+Interop 2000 Tokyo.

ShowNet serves as a live interactive event network connecting over 360 exhibitors and dozens of conference sessions to the Internet and each other.

The selection of Unicenter TNG marks the third consecutive year that NetWorld+Interop Japan show management has chosen Unicenter TNG as the end-to-end IT management solution for ShowNet. Seamlessly integrated, the Unicenter TNG will provide a powerful centralized management solution to support one of the world`s largest and most dynamic short-term network environments.

ePS leverages NTT Com`s proven expertise in managing large scale network environments with CA`s Unicenter TNG enterprise management solution, to enable customers to get comprehensive one stop solutions designed to improve service levels and to reduce total cost of ownership.

CA`s Unicenter TNG will be utilized to auto discover all network equipment at NetWorld+Interop Japan. The solution will empower network professionals within the show`s Network Operations Center (NOC) to effectively monitor the network`s diverse and heterogeneous assets. Unicenter TNG will allow the NOC team to set thresholds for all IT devices and monitor the health of the components by sending alerts to keep a certain service level of the total network.

Using the Unicenter TNG 3D Worldview Interface component, NetWorld+Interop support technicians will also be able to visually pinpoint potential trouble spots flagged by Unicenter TNG by navigating through real world graphical representations of the network environment and drilling down to the heart of the problems.
