Computer Society improves member communication with new Web site

By CSSA
Johannesburg, 26 Jun 2006

The Computer Society of South Africa (CSSA) recently launched its new Web site to provide an online resource to the professional body of South Africa`s ICT (information and communications technology) practitioners.

The site provides news on the ICT industry, events updates and information about the industry in general. The CSSA also has a new focus on the under-25 market and the importance of drawing this sector into the industry.

The CSSA focuses its activities, events and publications on ICT policy representation at government level, education and training, professional development and advancement, and community development. With over 3 000 members throughout South Africa, the CSSA is widely recognised as a professional body for ICT practitioners in South Africa. Its Web site is thus a crucial forum for members and ICT professionals to communicate and share information.

The new Web site was delivered in a partnership with leading content management company Prefix Technologies, as part of its corporate social responsibility activities.

MD of Prefix Technologies Josh Adler commented: "Prefix Technologies is excited to be supporting the CSSA, particularly with their new focus on getting under-25s into the ICT sector. The new Web site provides the CSSA with fresh identity and the tools with which to effect an online communication strategy."

Moira de Roche, CSSA President, comments: "We are delighted to be launching a new, interactive Web site, which will become a powerful resource for our members and the ICT community. The new Web site meets the needs of today, and will enable us to continue to update and upgrade it to meet future requirements."
