Compuware SA has introduced a solution that measures key phases of the application lifecycle to help ensure efficient and responsive running of applications.
Compuware`s new browser-based solution iSTROBE will enable companies to interactively analyse their enterprise applications based on WebSphere, MQ, CICS/TS Visual Age for Java, DB2, IMS and Unix System Services.
Launched together with STROBE 2.5, iSTROBE quickly and easily identifies the performance characteristics of complex enterprise application problems.
Adding to this, Compuware`s newly released STROBE 2.5 introduces new functionality that automatically measures abnormal program behaviour.
Leveraging off STROBE 2.5`s new enhancements, iSTROBE measures key phases of the application lifecycle, especially development, test and production, to help ensure that applications run efficiently and responsively and that no performance problems are unintentionally caused.
Compuware`s STROBE technology enables organisations to determine where and how applications use resources in IBM OS/390 and z/OS.
iSTROBE also augments STROBE by increasing and simplifying the identification of performance opportunities within the STROBE Performance Profile. This gives IT staff a stronger skill set more quickly, resulting in a quicker and higher return on investment (ROI).
"Every day, companies are faced with new performance issues, many appearing from nowhere. Identifying and resolving these issues without reliable accurate information may elongate resolution and cause more problems," comments Peter Hatherell, product manager at Compuware SA.
With STROBE 2.5, companies can now more effectively analyse sporadic problems and save time searching for the applications needing improvement.
"STROBE 2.5 and iSTROBE make a powerful solution combination that demystifies application performance and reduces costly and unnecessary upgrades," he concludes.
