Datatec`s global channel provider of networking technology products, Westcon Group, announced that its UK Cisco distributor, Comstor UK, has launched the Cisco virtual private network (VPN)/security FastTrack training programme.
The courses, to commence in September, have been developed to support the significant changes being made by Cisco systems to its channel certification programme.
Now called the Cisco channel partner programme, it rewards value-added resellers (VARs) based upon technical expertise and customer satisfaction rather than volume sales or numbers of engineers.
Cisco`s aim is to support increasingly complex technology by putting specialisation at the core of the programme. Partners are therefore able to demonstrate expertise in specific technologies through structured training roadmaps, growing their business and enhancing customer satisfaction.
With significant experience drawn from its earlier FastTrack programme, Comstor is now set to offer VARs the chance to take advantage of the explosion in the security market and ensure success in security specialisation with the new VPN/Security FastTrack Programme.
