European-based Comsys, the international provider of interactive converged telecoms solutions, is expanding its operations into Africa.
This week the company opened operations in Woodmead, in Johannesburg, SA, says Marc Nulens, senior sales manager at Comsys.
Comsys aims to provide its value added solutions to the local network operators, virtual network operators (like Virgin Mobile) and contact centres, he says. The company will also work directly with corporate customers, he says.
Comsys' solutions include voice and Web interactive voice response (IVR), call centre solutions, SMS to fixed-line services, video push messaging and video IVR, he says.
Nulens says Comsys in SA will initially focus on providing IRV solutions, such as IRV video to complement what is already in the marketplace.
Large corporates can also use hosted video solutions to provide employee training, he says.
Government and non-profits can also use hosted IRV video solutions to supplement their awareness and educational campaigns, he says. Comsys can also provide virtual call centre solutions for small to medium enterprises.
Nulens says Comsys has an installed base of hundreds of systems in Europe, the US, Asia and Africa.
Nulens says plans are also in motion to open offices in Poland, and Comsys will look into expanding its operations into the Nambian market.
