With the ability to store increasing quantities of electronic data becoming a major concern for business of all sizes, resellers are increasingly pressurised to deliver a wider selection of storage solutions - and this requires specialist expertise.
Because many resellers may not have this expertise in-house, Comztek has appointed Cindy Rossouw as storage product manager to assist them to develop and implement the best solutions to meet their customer`s needs.
Heinz Stephan, products and technology director at Comztek, says the appointment of a storage product manager demonstrates the company`s commitment to the channel.
"Cindy brings more than seven years` IT experience to our team, a large percentage of which has been spent in the data storage sector. Now this experience is being made available to our customers," he says.
Rossouw started her career as a technician in the PC assembly and support arena. She later moved to Siltek Distribution Dynamics (SDD) where she was intimately involved in the selling and support of large IBM systems, as well as smaller line items at the SDD export division.
This was followed by a two-year tenure at Tarsus Technology where she was an IBM distribution product manager, and another year as a marketing and project management consultant at Dell.
Most recently, Rossouw spent three years at Maxtec as a product manager specialising in the full spectrum of IBM storage products.
"Although storage technology is fundamentally the same, no matter what vendor one supports, I am particularly excited about the Adic and Veritas product offerings as they offer the broadest array of solutions on the market.
