Conexys SA has received a further R50 million investment from Bermuda-based parent Conexys Corporation.
Conexys says a decision in November to elevate Conexys SA to the status of key technology hub for the company in support of its globalisation drive follows the penetration of its iComMand online messaging platform into the local market.
iComMand is an application service provider communications management service which makes e-mail, voicemail and private fax and voice services available from any location across the globe through multiple devices including laptops, personal computers and cellphones.
Conexys SA`s MD, Andrew Hill, says iComMand has already notched up 70 000 local subscribers, comfortably outstripping initial forecasts. He expects the figure to pass 200 000 by the end of this year.
Conexys Corporation chairman Edward Furtak says the success of the product in SA validates the company`s business model and he believes the company`s timing and go to market strategy have positioned it well to take advantage of this opportunity in the communications/messaging space.
"There are generic unified messaging and related products on the market, but Conexys is the only company currently offering thorough research into the client`s online offering and then coupling this to an outstanding messaging platform that works off their site," he says.
Conexys SA, formed in 2000, is represented in Africa, North America, Asia Pacific and Bermuda, with a planned expansion into Europe.
