Content management boosts ROI

A content management (CM) survey, conducted by research firm AIIM and sponsored by EMC, revealed 43% of organisations have achieved return on investment (ROI) within 12 months, says Info World.

Nearly half of the surveyed respondents claim to have achieved 40% savings or more in paper storage costs and 41% say document management has given them improved access to information.

Whitney Tidmarsh, chief marketing officer for the CM and archiving division at EMC, says: "Document capture can no longer be thought of as a technology running in a silo but rather as an integral part of a business process.”

SharePoint gets free CM

Web CM provider, Kentico Software, has rolled out its free Kentico CMS Connector for Microsoft SharePoint, reports PRLog.

The solution allows business users to create content on their SharePoint intranet and publish it on Web sites powered by Kentico Web Content Management System.

Kentico CEO Petr Palas explains: “It complements the SharePoint functionality and enables organisations to leverage their existing investments into SharePoint and Microsoft .NET platform".

Vasont unveils version 12.1

Vasont Systems has released the latest version of its CM system branded Vasont 12.1, states ECM Connection.

The solution enables users to store multilingual content and a user can choose to be notified when a specific type of component is added to their content.

Richard Schiding, president of Vasont Systems, says: "Vasont's interim releases enable clients to receive the new features they need sooner.”
