Airvana contributes to FMC
Airvana will showcase its fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) offerings at CTIA Wireless 2008, taking place from 1 to 3 April in Las Vegas, according to PRNewsWire.
In live demonstrations, the company is highlighting the HubBub CDMA femtocell, the Universal Access Gateway and the Femto Service Manager.
Airvana's HubBub CDMA femtocell has been named a CTIA Emerging Technology Award finalist.
Ethernet grows in prominence
Convergence India 2008, held at the Pragati Maidan Showgrounds in New Delhi again, was curiously low-key when considering the current and expected growth rate of the Indian market at the moment, says The Telecom.
Like last year, WiMax, mobile evolution, broadband and optical dominated the show floor, although carrier Ethernet had grown in prominence since 2007.
ECI Telecom displayed its new platform while Tejas Networks India talked up its developments, and RAD Data Communications showed off its multi-service platforms.
