Corex, a recently launched distributor of PC and peripheral products, and ASUStek Computers Inc (ASUS), has introduced the AX800 graphics card series, powered by ATI`s RADEON X800 PRO Visual Processing Unit (VPU) to South African users.
The AX800 incorporates various state-of-the-art technologies such as ATI`s SMARTSHADER HD, SMOOTHVISION HD, VIDEOSHADER HD, as well as Asus` own GameFace Live - offering a complete solution to the 3D and video application market.
"The integration of the Asus AX800 with ATI`s RADION X800 PRO now offers enthusiasts the ultimate cinematic solution coupled with fierce computing power," comments Matthew Hall, general manager of Corex.
Other AX800 functionalities include:
* 3Dc -image enhancement and acceleration technology for high polygon characters and scenes;
* 128-, 64- and 32-bit per pixel floating point colour formats; and
* Microsoft DirectX 9 and OpenGL 1.5 support.
