Recently launched computer components and peripherals distributor, Corex, has signed a distribution agreement with Asus, one of the world`s leading technology vendors.
"In terms of our agreement with Asus, Corex will gain access to a wide range of offerings, including motherboards - with Intel and AMD chipset options - graphic cards and optical storage devices," says Fred Lu, Corex MD.
"We will also market Gigabit network switches, wireless networking products, as well as server equipment.
"Asus has a 50% share of the motherboard market worldwide and its products feature in some of the most well known brands available today," says Lu.
"In addition, Asus has world-class R&D capabilities and an ability to develop cost-effective microprocessor platforms that will enable our customers in SA to build powerful and feature-rich PC systems.
"A major benefit for Corex is that there is an existing market which we will address and service," he adds.
Asus products marketed through the Corex channel will be covered by a three-year warranty.
