Cotlands receives second Lexmark Baby Days batch

Johannesburg, 21 Aug 2002

Lexmark International SA today announced that the second batch of "Baby Days" had been handed over to The Cotlands Baby Sanctuary on the occasion of its 66th birthday.

These additional Baby Days now bring the running total to 1 100 out of a target of 5 000 for the first year of the Cotlands Recycling Initiative for Babies (CRIB) project that was originally launched on 18 April.

"We are continuing to welcome new businesses to the many already committed to supporting this CRIB initiative," commented Mark Hiller, MD of Lexmark International SA. "Now that there is much greater of our initiative, I`m sure more and more individuals and corporations will add their name to our growing 'supporters` list and thus add their contribution in the helping of our community."

"On behalf of the children and staff at Cotlands, I extend a very big thank you to Lexmark SA for their latest 'present` on this our 66th birthday," added Jackie Schoeman of Cotlands, after receiving the second contribution for 499 Baby Days earlier this week.

One Baby Day clothes, feeds, houses and cares for one baby at Cotlands for one day.
