Credit Indemnity chooses Comparex Africa remote management to ensure secure network for loan provider

Comparex Africa has recently concluded a deal whereby it will host several servers and take over the remote management of Pietermaritzburg-based micro-lender, Credit Indemnity, including its 110 branches nationwide.

The contract also incorporates the management of the servers, Internet and e-mail services, call centre services and support for all Microsoft server applications.

Says Peter Job, IT manager of Credit Indemnity: "Credit Indemnity is the largest character based micro-lending organisation in SA with 110 branches and 175 000 active clients on its books. Loans are paid out in cash within an hour of a customer coming into the branch. This puts a lot of pressure on uptime of the network, and our change to Comparex Africa has improved this immensely. The business continues to grow and we look forward to helping thousands of new clients in the future."

The conversion to Comparex Africa went extremely smoothly without any negative impact on Credit Indemnity`s business operations.

"We are extremely happy to welcome Credit Indemnity to the growing list of Comparex Africa outsource customers in KwaZulu-Natal," says Will Heygate, Regional Chief Executive of Comparex Africa, KwaZulu-Natal. "We see the outsourcing of Credit Indemnity as a confirmation of Comparex Africa`s strong outsource offering and hope to extend this service to a wider client base in the province."
