Customer Relationship Management will be the order of the day at the Call Centres Africa `99 exhibition and conference which opens on 6 July at the MTN Sundome in Johannesburg.
In addition to the highly acclaimed Call Centres Africa `99 conference, the event will also host Africa`s first dedicated customer relationship management conference - Contact Africa `99.
"We believe that the future of this industry is with CRM." says Denis Kampel, General Manager: Exhibitions at AiC Worldwide.
"After all, that is essentially what call centres are about. Call Centres are only one component of the bigger customer management picture. Forward thinking organisations are becoming more careful with the way they deal with clients and prospects, and have realised that it is crucial to take a holistic approach to servicing and maintaining these customers", continues Kampel.
Contact Africa `99 is sponsored by Corepoint Technologies, an IBM company. The strategy behind Corepoint`s "true CRM" definition calls for businesses to take a strategic view of each customer relationship, cultivating customers individually throughout the life of the relationship to maximise value to both the customer and the company.
The Contact Africa `99 conference features an intensive one day programme focused on enhancing customer relationship management, as well as an interactive hands-on workshop on how to provide exceptional customer service. Speakers include Lori Kasselman of Vodacom; Brad Coward of Performalink and Pat Holgate of National Data Systems.
The Contact Africa `99 conferences runs from 6 - 7 July 1999 at the MTN Sundome, Northgate, Johannesburg. People wanting further information about the event can contact Jenne Morrison on (011) 463 2802, or email jennem@aic-africa.com.
