JSE-listed CS Holdings` division CS Education Solutions is in the process of launching its coastal Oracle training facilities. The launch of CS Oracle Training in Cape Town took place on 19 April, and the Durban launch on 4 May.
"The launch of Oracle Training at CS Education Solutions` two main coastal branches is an important development in the delivery of Oracle education throughout South Africa since CS Holdings became a certified provider of Oracle training last year," says Madelise Grobler, MD of CS Education Solutions. "This strengthens our partnership with Oracle University and is part of our continual roll-out of Oracle training to support the fast-growing Oracle market.
CS Education Solutions will cover the entire Oracle curriculum, including Database Administrator, Oracle Developer, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Web DB and Oracle Java.
"We originally selected CS Education Solutions as a training partner because of their nation-wide infrastructure and look forward to delivering training to our clients in Cape Town and Durban through CS Education Solutions," says Pieter Bensch, the director of Oracle University in SA. "Oracle is gaining tremendous acceptance in SA, and we predict CS Education Solutions` coastal region will see a 200% growth over the next year to June 2001."
CS Education Solutions` Oracle Manager: Coastal Regions - Freddie Kleynhans, emphasised the importance of the partnership between Oracle University and CS Education Solutions in improving the delivery of service to Oracle client. "Our own sales and marketing team of five will work closely together with Belinda Palombo, Oracle University`s senior sales representative: Education Solutions, to identify and analyse training requirements in the local market up to six month in advance. Clients have project deadlines to meet and cannot afford to wait for courses. The strong partnership will enable us to plan training to meet clients` strategic requirement on a just - in - time basis, " says Kleynhans.
Clients will also be able to benefit from CS Education Solutions` ability to offer not only instructor-led and customised courses, but also computer based training.
