JSE-listed CS Holdings has signed a R2.5 million contract with Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (Tanesco), a parastatal power supply utility in Tanzania. This deal forms part a total contract that will be worth more than R7 million when completed.

CS Holdings will work closely in a consortium from the US, SA and Tanzania on this project. The first phase of the project is aimed at designing a solution for the privatisation and commercialisation of Tanesco, the last State-owned utility in Tanzania.

According to CS Holdings director: People Effectiveness Consulting, Dr Theo Veldsman, the first phase of the contract will be concluded in June.

"The phases include business planning, business structure, the competency of the people, the IT systems, preparing the people for the change, and defining people policies and practices for the future."
