CSC listed in `leaders` quadrant of US managed, professional network service providers

Johannesburg, 26 Jul 2006

Computer Sciences Corporation has been listed in the "leaders" quadrant of the Gartner report, Magic Quadrant for US managed and professional network service providers, 2006. The report examines service providers that support enterprise network infrastructure and telecommunications.

According to Gartner, "By 2010, 60% of enterprises will source the management and operation of part, or all, of their corporate networks, up from 30% in 2006." Moreover, "vendors in the `leaders` quadrant are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership positions in the market."

Authored by Eric Goodness, David Neil and David Willis, and published On 11 July 2006, the report examines 12 service providers. To qualify, providers need to have annual network information technology (IT) service revenue of $200 million or more. Additionally, Gartner requires that at least $50 million of the revenue come from network management services.

"As our customers` business becomes more global and their employees more mobile, they`re increasingly seeing how their networks affect both the success of day-to-day operations and long-term business strategy," said Richard Ricks, president of CSC`s Global Infrastructure Services group.

"We believe this recognition by Gartner confirms our leadership and experience in providing advanced converged data and voice network solutions that drive the results our clients expect."

CSC creates its network service offerings by integrating multiple carriers, hardware and software platforms into a unified environment in which clients can run their applications.
