CyberLink, RealD enhance 3D tech

CyberLink, a solution provider for the connected digital lifestyle, has partnered with RealD, a licensor of 3D technologies for cinema, consumer electronics and professional applications, to enhance the 3D technology in PowerDVD, 3D, HD and Blu-ray DVD player software application, writes Bit-Tech.

CyberLink has licensed the stereoscopic RealD Format for the delivery and display of high definition 3D content and will integrate support into PowerDVD.

“With the support of RealD's advanced 3D technology, together we are committed to delivering next-generation 3D entertainment experiences for users to fully enjoy the spectacular realism from PCs at home,” says Alice Chang, CEO of CyberLink.

C-nario has supplied its Messenger digital signage platform as the main engine behind the new multimedia displays at the museum of Brazil's Sport Club Internacional (Inter), one of the country's football teams, says Avinterative.co.uk.

The display was implemented by EAV - Engenharia Audiovisual, an engineering company located in Brazil, specialising in consulting, training, designing and integration of pro-av systems. The museum is located at Inter's stadium in Porto Alegre, and attracts 1 500 to 2 000 visitors every week.

Inter's museum displays the club's trophies, medals, documents, and photos, as well as other memorabilia and documents related to the club's history. In addition, the museum shows data about each match played, with all the players' names, goals and referees.

EchoStar Advanced Technologies has purchased the assets of Move Networks, a specialist in streaming video technologies, states CED Magazine.

The acquisition gains EchoStar technology and technological expertise the company can exploit as it evolves its Sling boxes, set-tops, DVRs and other products.

Move Technologies was a pioneer in Internet video streaming, with adaptive streaming technology designed to deliver the highest-possible-quality video on best-effort unmanaged IP networks.
