D-Link ships storage solution
D-Link is now shipping a solution for the growing data storage needs of small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), reports msnbc.
Its new five-bay iSCSI storage area network array enclosure is capable of holding up to 7.5 Terabytes of data. Each bay accommodates one 3.5-inch Sata drive, up to 1.5TB and higher when larger capacity disks are introduced and firmware updates are made available.
This fast storage solution is targeted at SMEs whose near-line storage is full or near capacity, and who want to supplement their primary backup and recovery device, or need to add more comprehensive network storage management.
Ricoh releases green office service
Ricoh Europe, a provider of digital office solutions, has unveiled its Pay Per Page green consultancy service which combines total cost of ownership analysis with the measurement of overall environmental impact and reducing the cost of printing amongst employees, says Channel EMEA.
“We take a cradle-to-cradle approach to sustainable innovation, offering products and services that contribute to environmental preservation from design to recycling. Ricoh is committed to twinning this with sound business considerations to increase customers' profitability while reducing their carbon footprint,” says Shun Sato, vice-president of Ricoh Europe.
The enhanced Pay Per Page Green consultancy, as part of the company's total green office solution, is now available across Europe.
InfoPrint establishes innovation centres
InfoPrint Solutions Company, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, is opening its InfoPrint Innovation Centres, as well as running with TransPromo pilot promotions to demonstrate its digital office solutions, says msnbc.
The centres each boast state-of-the-art capabilities designed to incubate new solutions and ideas, and are focused on encouraging collaboration around next-generation printing infrastructure to address current business challenges both locally and globally.
Sandra Zoratti, vice-president of global solutions marketing at InfoPrint, says: "In lean times, it's all about customer retention. TransPromo enables marketers to turn an existing cost centre into a revenue generator by strategically leveraging routine customer communications to promote relevant up sells and cross sells, cutting through the clutter, increasing return on investment."
