The new IBMNetBAY11 Standard Rack from Tarsus Technologies provides easy, multiple configuration choices for IBM eServer xSeries servers. It also provides options that help customers squeeze more computing power into a smaller space.

"This 11U rack can provide the framework for complete small business solutions that are assembled, tested and ready to run," explains Warren Small, IBM product manager at Tarsus Technologies, the value-add distribution arm of JSE-listed MB Technologies.

Capable of being shipped fully configured with xSeries servers and options, the NetBAY11 provides a common building block for xSeries rack-to-tower conversions, especially useful for high-end xSeries servers and options. The common building-block feature eliminates the need for multiple conversion kits, allowing users to simplify their operations and focus on more important business matters. "Users should not underestimate the NetBAY11 because of its compact size," advises Small. "This mini rack server delivers big rack features such as a lockable, perforated front door, heavy duty casters and a complete set of filler plates to help optimise cooling."

Another one of its unique features, a retractable stabiliser foot, allows components to slide forward for safe, easy service and configuration. "This rack accommodates even the deepest xSeries systems such as the x370 and tape automation products," continues Small.

Suitable for a variety of highly scalable solutions, the NetBAY11 is competitively priced. It joins the IBM NetBAY family of racks that provide a selection of several 42U racks and a 25U rack to deliver ideal rack solutions for any size organisation.
